Here is a quick rundown of the projects I’ve worked on. Thankful to all the mentors and friends who have helped me along the way!
Protein Design @ LTRI: designing more accurate DNA polymerases in the Gingras Lab, supported through grants from the 1517 Fund and Emergent Ventures
Incoming Ellison Scholar @ Oxford: will be working on biomedical research with the Ellison Institute of Technology as a fully funded student at the University of Oxford
Research @ Gingras Lab (Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute): learned about mapping the human interactome through cell culture, mini-prep, gel electrophoresis, western blotting, and other experiments with my mentor
Spoke @ Web Summit 2024: gave a talk about protein design and my research with DNA polymerases on the Corporate Innovation Stage
Cancer Immunotherapy: I wrote a proposal for a new pancreatic cancer treatment. It uses a CRISPR knockout of MCT1 to block butyrate from disrupting NK cells, making them stronger
ML Based Proteomics: trained ML models to predict protein melting temperatures, potency (pIC50 values) of acetylcholinesterase drugs, and TCR-epitope interactions
Consulting: with a team, I had the opportunity to consult for Google, Microsoft, and Verizon
